To Jules: You will probably never see this, but I feel the need to apologize anyways. I'm sorry for everything that happened, and that in the end I couldn't do anything to help you. I write this almost sanctimoniously, acting in my own self-interest, as this only serves to get what I need to say off of my chest before it eats me alive. I miss you. We all miss you. This seems like far too little for a proper goodbye, but it's all I have to offer. I hope wherever you are, you're happier now than you were then. - Cass

New source ARG on TikTok! Haven't watched much of it, but seems pretty interesting so far! Link - Julius

New scary source ARG?: This one actually looks pretty fun! I really like how it balances horror, intrigue, and comedy, and while kind of cheesy in a couple places that only adds to the fun in my opinion! Looks promising! Check it out here: Crossfire fun. As a whole, however, "ARGs" and Gmod mysteries have been a bit stagnant recently. Seems like the content farm's wells have dried up and it's up to us to find new, interesting stories people are still willing to tell. - Julius

Merry Christmas everyone! Especially you, Cass. Seems like gm_construct_13_beta has been discontinued, at least partially? Sucks, since I was really looking forward to see where that was going, especially with the ARC stuff. Still a cool map though! No idea how they pulled off the LUA, even Judas seems stumped. Anyways, Happy Holidays! I know you guys probably won't read this for a while so I'll talk to you all later! - Julius

The website has been dead for almost a year. You could have at least said something positive.

these new "ARGs" are stupid and not worth our time. we could be doing so much more stuff but we're stuck looking at the same dumb "ohh what if the ragdfolls were allive or what if there was a scary guy" without any puzzles or anything to solve. I hate them there not even ARGs, and these stupid youtubers are not helping us find new stuff either cuz they just cover whatever gets them the most views - Brutus

SUCK-O-METER: GUNSLINGERPRO2009 REVIEW

so this is one of the more popular gmod "args" as of recently. unlike the series that came before, like classic gm videos and gmod9fan reuploads, gunslingerpro2009 doesnt play into the "shadow figure watching you from far away" cliche. instead, this series has living ragdolls. the blu spy in the first episode that is banging on the camera is an example of one of these living ragdolls. i remember watching this roughly around the time Richter Overtime covered the series, and at the time the living ragdoll idea was brand spannking new, so points for the oirignality (that is torn to pieces later). SUCK METER: 3/5 - brutus

GMOD9FAN THESIS

I've been wanting to write something like this, and now I finally have the avenue to do so! Gmod9fan is a curious case, one of the first of its' kind and one that seems to have inspired a couple offshoots. It seems obvious, at least to me, that the series as a whole represents childhood trauma, nostalgia, and memories you'd rather not remember, among similar themes. I believe it executes these ideas succinctly and beautifully. In the beginning, the main character is living in blissful ignorance, while something clearly is wrong, or at least not entirely right in the background. This could represent the protagonist's childhood, playing Gmod as an escape so their home life doesn't consume them. "You can even hear my parents arguing in the background." -Description of "Rad Letter Day". The figure that haunts them is the reminders that keep popping up, that keep dragging him back into the real world despite him wanting to remain in his fantasy. The crucifixion, while often interpreted as a "summoning" (quite close-mindedly, i might add), is clearly an allegory for sacrifice. What exactly the protagonist sacrificed is up to viewer interpretation. Finally, the videos end perfectly with the protagonist confronting his trauma- "I'm not sure I remember any of these. But I think I understand now." -and finally moving on in the present, while forgoing his escapist fantasies in the past. - Cassius
